It’s not tricky to find Vicky

Police have been hunting television reality star and stripper Vicky-Lee McIntyre for almost two months as part of an operation to find people with outstanding warrants. But Sunday News found her in less than two hours. Officers and court staff confirmed an arrest warrant had been issued for McIntyre on May 7 after the 28-year-old Miss Popularity star failed to appear at Auckland District Court to answer a drink-driving charge. Court documents show the mum-of-two was allegedly caught drink driving on Auckland's Queen St about 4am on April 11. Police allege McIntyre blew an alcohol breath reading of 846mcg. The legal limit is 400mcg. McIntyre was not arrested. Instead she was taken to the central police station and sent home with a summons to appear at court. But she failed to show and a judge issued an arrest warrant. Officers have since been hunting her at residential and business addresses throughout central and west Auckland. On Friday, Sunday News found McIntyre in the plush St Mary's Bay suburb where she was staying at a $1.73 million mansion with a Ferrari parked in the driveway. "It was a miscommunication," said McIntyre, who was bankrupted in February, of her non-appearance at court. "I do want to get it sorted but I am worried that if I turn up at the police station and hand myself in they will lock me in the cells. "I have spoken to my friends about it and some say I should hand myself in and that nothing will happen. "Others say 'no way'. I just don't know what to do - I've never been in trouble before. "I just don't want to be with my son when I am arrested, that would not be good at all." She said the drink-driving incident was a "bad mistake". "I really f**ked up," she said. But police were pleasant and she had enjoyed her time at the station the morning she was pulled over. "The officers were giving me lollies. They were really nice to me. I was definitely not treated as though I had done anything wrong," she said. Police sources said McIntyre, who also starred on Treasure Island: Couples at War with now ex-Scotty Rocker, was "friendly" and "co-operative" but they were disappointed she had not appeared at court. The personality gave police her parents' Herald Island, Whenuapai house as her address, but officers were unable to find her there. "She just needs to come in and sort this out. But if she doesn't soon then we will need to go to one of her employers and that would have potential for social embarrassment," said one officer. *McIntyre was forbidden to drive for 28 days from the time she allegedly recorded the excess alcohol breath reading. If found guilty on the charge, she will be suspended from driving for at least six months.
